Viability Studies

In the current environment franchises are constantly reviewing their network presence and the associated channels to market. This may involve both attracting new dealers and rationalising the current portfolio. ASE are the number one motor trade business management services provider in the UK, so we provide unrivalled knowledge of the viability of a dealer and its place within the entire UK dealer network.

As part of the process the team will critically analyse all of the assumptions provided by the proposed retailer principals. The assumptions will be compared against the results we know retailers are achieving in that area, and in the market as a whole to assess whether they are attainable. Our opinion as to whether the assumptions are realistic will be clearly stated in the report.

We will also identify the assumptions to which the projections are most sensitive. Using our sophisticated dealer modeling system, we will calculate the impact of changes to the key assumptions in order to illustrate their impact on projected profitability.

A number of franchises are currently using ASE to provide a complete assessment service of proposed retailers. For these franchises we manage the review and assessment process in addition to visiting the retailer after commencement to review the implementation of internal controls and computer systems.
